RCS Strengthens Executive Recruitment Services with Addition of Experienced Club Manager

VIENNA – As part of the recent growth and expansion of the RCS Hospitality Group, including their launch of an affordable online training system (RCSU), the executive recruitment department is getting a considerable boost with the addition of Brian Armstrong, CCM, to the RCS roster.

“I’ve known Brian for several years and have worked with him on various projects,” said RCS founder and president Whitney Reid Pennell. “His strong golf background and deep history with the CMAA and PGA makes him the perfect person to lead our recruiting efforts and assist with strategic projects as we move forward. Brian shares our passion to give back to the industry, and his enthusiasm is contagious.”

Mr. Armstrong has more than 17 years of management experience with many types of clubs. Beginning in the industry picking the range and washing golf carts, working up through the PGA program and ultimately achieving Certified Club Manager (CCM) status through CMAA, Brian has worked most positions within a country club.

Comfortable discussing agronomic issues with a Superintendent, golf tournament operations with the Director of Golf, or the latest culinary trends with the Executive Chef, Brian’s experience in the club industry is well rounded. He is adroit at working with club Boards to better position the facility for the future whether it’s through club improvement plans, strategic planning, or capital reserve studies.

Further supporting this resume is the election as President to the National Capital Club Manager’s Association President in 2012 and 2013, earned after having served over 5 years on the Board and many more years of service on various committees.
